Hunger Games Silhouette Studio File

I just finished reading The Hunger Games series and I am in LOVE! Really, they have made the cut as some of my favorite books. Now I'm counting down the days until the first movie comes out.

So to help me pass the time I created a .studio file for the Mockingjay Pin that Katness wears. I plan to put it on a shirt to wear to the opening night of the movie. Dork - youbettcha! But I can't wait! Enjoy!

Toilet Bowl Monster Silhouette Studio File

A lady on a Facebook page I'm on asked for a Toilet Bowl Monster. Of course I had to take up the challenge. So I created this file from scratch, drawing out each piece to fit the toilet in my kid's bathroom. It took a bit of work trying to get the measurements just right but after a few trial cuts it worked!

I put this on after they went to bed thinking that I would get a great freak out during the midnight pee-run. But instead my son was giddy with excitement that his toilet bowl now has a sticker on it. Oh well - hopefully you all will enjoy this as much as he did!!

Linus Silhouette Studio File

My second favorite cartoon character is Linus. And really only because, like I used to - he sucks his thumb and has a blanket. What's not to love about that? I have cut this one out and it is so cute when you cut it out of vinyl! Enjoy!

Nail stickers using the Silhouette Cameo

I got this idea from a sweet mama on a Facebook users group for the Silhouette cutting machines. I used some free vinyl that I got from a local sign shop and cut out nail stickers. The flower design can be found in the Silhouette online store. I had to cut them out SUPER tiny... almost too tiny. But it worked. I put a clear coat over the stickers and they lasted almost two days. My kids loved them and they really brightened up an already bright blue nail polish - and lets face it - they are just fun!

Calvin and Hobbes Hugging Silhouette Studio File

My all time favorite cartoon characters are Calvin and Hobbes. I love the little boy who thinks his favorite stuffed animal is real! Because, lets face it, I have a stuffed animal... and while I might be in my mid-30s... I still think he is real!

I have cut this one out of vinyl and placed it on my laptop as you see above.... and it's very cute! Enjoy!

You have to wonder what Hobbes is up to here?! Is he ready to pounce? Mad at you? Hmmm.... well regardless I did cut this one out of vinyl as you can see above and placed it on my laptop.... and it is adorable! I hope you like it too!

Making my Silhouette Cameo Pretty

I decided to jazz up my Silhouette Cameo today. I used some pink paper to make a new control panel background. I also used some Cricut Vinyl I had on hand to make the designs on the Cameo. Both came from the Silhouette Online Store. I just changed the "dream create inspire" to be on three lines rather than one.

University of Floirda Gator Silhouette File

We are HUGE University of Florida Gator fans!! All four of us nearly bleed orange and blue. My youngest could wear a Gator shirt every day of every week and be very happy about it! So of course I needed to make them more!

I took the football helmet from the Silhouette store, and the Gator script down below (that I traced and cleaned up) and put them together as one file. I then cut it out of heat transfer vinyl (I like the Sisser Easy Weed brand) and ironed it on a shirt. Needless to say my kids were THRILLED! I hope your Gator fans will be too!

Gymnastics Shirts Using Heat Transfer Vinyl

My kids love it when I make them stuff. But between being a busy mom, a shop owner, and trying to run a household, I don't exactly have time. So I am LOVING my new Silhouette Cameo and heat transfer vinyl.

I used blank t-shirts I picked up at JoAnn's craft store (on sale of course) and some Silhouette brand heat transfer vinyl. I used images I bought from the Silhouette online store and put the kids names on them before cutting out the vinyl.

I am not a big fan of this brand of vinyl so I will be trying others (it was a pain to iron on and while the directions said 45 seconds it took way longer than that).



However the kids LOVED them!!!! Like OMG loved them! They now have personalized gymnastics shirts to wear for each of their classes. My son is already requesting more .... a boy on the rings.... on the p-bars... on the floor.... on the rope... etc

UPDATE: these were such a big hit at gymnastics that the mom of a little girl in my daughter's class requested one... how could I say no?! ;-)
